Auto insurance card
In the following article, I would like to take the time to tell you why it is important that you have an auto insurance card. On the auto insurance card you will be able to find information about the policy holder as well as the automobile information for the vehicle that is insured such as the year and the make and model. The auto insurance card is commonly referred to as proof of insurance in which it is a certain type of documentation that an individual can show to another person that proves that they do indeed have insurance that is valid with an insurance company. It is known that the typical form of the proof of insurance is known to be a paper card that the insurance company provides that has the policy information as well as the dates that it is effective. There are many of the states that actually require that an individual has to carry a proof of insurance with them in their automobiles or on themselves while they are driving. If there comes a time that the individual that is driving the car is asked by a law enforcement official to show them proof of insurance they must be able to do so. Normally if you are unable to provide a proof of insurance they you will be issued a citation. The reason that the law enforcement officers want to make sure that you have insurance is so that they know that the vehicle that you are driving is legitimate and that the insurance hasn't been canceled or lapsed. You know it can be a hassle keeping up with a proof of insurance but the truth of the matter is that it will keep you from having to go through a lot of court dates and all of that mess. There are some states that don't require the auto insurance card but there are some that do. Even though you may think that it is a hassle it really isn't if you think about it because of the fact that you have to have a proof of insurance so that you know that in the event of an accident or if you get pull or go through a road block you need to make sure that you have it handy so that you are able to go through it with ease and not have to worry about going through any hassles.
